Whenever I try to run HAWX, its res. goes out of screen's range hence gives no signal message. Saw he config file in settings menu and there it shows 1024x768 which my screen does supports but still same error. Tried making it read-only and running it windowed but nothing happens. Below is my config file, tell me what to append?

What's your native resolution? Did you change the format of .ini file? Take a look at my profile:

How did you get "height" & "Width" setting one below the other?

I didn't do anything to the file, its as it is. I'm using Vista maybe that's why.
Offtopic, Bhai sahab kabhi XFire vagerah pe bhi aa jaya karo, wahin hum garibon ka ilaaj kar diya karo!

OK, replaced my Video settings with yours and changed the res to 1024x768 but still the same No signal error.

LOL! I'm not a big IM fan. It's been a while since I logged onto any IM client except Yahoo.

Anyway are you still using that LCD TV as your monitor? Then shouldn't you be aiming for 1360x768 resolution?

Yes, I'm still using my LCD TV as display and I tried 1360x768 too but the case was same to reverted to a lower setting. Any Ideas as how to correct it?

OK, so googled it a bit more, read few links which I skipped last night and found out that I was changing settings from the game's install folder whilst changes had to be made from its folder created in My Documents section.

Since there was none in ,y case so snooped around a bit and found it under Saved Games folder of Vista

Edited it, ran it and everything is fine and dandy.

Haan Bhai, any piece of advice on How to complete that mission in which we have to destroy SAM sites, the one in which we are all by our lonely @$$.

Assuming this is the Stiletto mission (mission 9), you'll need to be very quick in the last part only. Just make sure you don't take much damage to your plane till the last check point. My advice would be to use the Mig-23 Superfulcrum fighter instead of the recommended F-14A Tomcat. Reason being during the last checkpoint, you'll have to take out SAM's as well as those Mirage bogies. Although the recommended F-14A allows you to launch radar guided missiles, the Migs are equipped with Multi-AA missiles. This should allow you to take out those Mirages in one shot. Believe me when I say this, if they break their formation then you're done for chasing them.

When you start off with the checkpoint, take out the batch of Mirage fighters heading your way with the multi-AA shot. Make sure you get them all. Next, target the closest SAM & get close to it, lock on & launch 2 J-strike missiles. Since these missiles don't have long range accuracy of the radar guided missiles, make sure you fire 2 of them, just in case. Pick the ones which are close to the escort bomber we have to protect. The bomber will take serious damage if those SAM's start shooting at it. You won't have to destroy all the SAM(s), just enough for the bomber to enter their drop zone.

Keep at it. This mission can be a pain in the ass at times. Took me around 10 tries on Hard mode to get it right.
