Play old Nintendo games in PC using NES Emulators.possible??

early in 1994, i am one of the addicters of old NES games (Nintendo Entertainment System).
while i searching deb packages in ubutnu, i find some NES emulators to read NES ROM..
is there any way to play old NES games in PC using these emulators.?

I have one of those called Nessie V1.02. Used to play a lot of my old games on it. Works perfectly & have got a couple of ROMS which I needed as well. It has controller support & 2 Player config as well. Google for it.

I recommend the emulator called FCEUSXDSP, its one of the best emulators available. As for roms, get mega packs from torrents. There's one for 1 GB which has every game available.

but all the games slightly struck few seconds while playing..
which is the best settings of that emulator to play fluently..?
