Directx9.0 not detected

i have an acer 4520 laptop, runnin windows xp sp2, with nvidia geforce go 7000M.

Due to certain reason, some games like NFS most wanted are not able to detect the direct x 9.0c on my system, even though other system info utilities clearly show it updated and installed...

I've tried installin the version that came with the game itself, but to no avail...
Kindly suggest a solution for this problem..

Run the game's installer in compatibility mode of Windows 2000. Its an issue with many game installers, and doing so will fix it without any side-effects.
