Microsoft India announced. The highly-anticipated action-RPG was originally going to release in the country on October 28 on the Xbox 360, but was pulled because of "cultural sensitivities."

In my opinion in India broadband scenario sucks.
It's not at all comparable with other European countries or USA.

@arijit: Yes, you can get the game through Steam.

@All: You might not care as you can always pirate but many, many console gamers like me do care about a game getting a legit release in India.

Besides, it is much more then the game being available in India. It's a question of why it was pulled out in the first place, that too a few days before release. How come the mere existence of a cow called "Brahmin" hurt any sensibilities here? Why is gaming being mindlessly censored. All it does is set a precedent here.

Pretty sure that most of my words will be lost on the majority of gamers here.

I love to play original games... really .. not bluffing.. (after all earning money and yet i'm a bachelor. )

But I spend for only RTS & RPG games which hold multi-play value.. and very few FPS with great online play...

I'll try fallout from other source first, if satisfied I'll buy the original (may be will get it from US).. I have done this for five games till date..

Popular & reliable online sites like, Play.com, Amazon - doesn't ship Video Games to India. "Some restrictions apply" - they say, god knows what!

Gamestop does ship to India (not specifically written but they ship internationally) - but never heard from colleagues or friends, zero experience with them.
Remember: gamestop charges $59 for shipping. So for $49 (fallout 3) you'll pay actually $108 (~ Rs. 5100).

Steam is the another way to get it online. And I think for Indian users who want any games online, this is the safest way. No extra charges - only game price.

I've seen few Singapore, Thailand based website ships to India and they charge reasonably for shipping. But I prefer American (mainly USA) than East-Asian (thief !) sites.

In my opinion, If you have somebody in USA - get unreleased games through them (like I do)

Actually Play-Asia is a very reliable site. They ship to India for free as well. Many, many people that I know off have got their games from PA including me.

@HariHari: We do NOT want to know how 12 hrs are enough for you to pirate a game. Be shameful about it, not proud.

He said its arrived in Assam and he will get it after exams.... well, if he bought it online he will get it the day it comes in his city. The shipment guys wont be sitting there waiting for his exam to get over .
