Perhaps you should go through previous months DVDs and find one that suits your needs.

Meanwhile, I suggest you give others a chance to try out Linux. Not everyone is a Linux expert, and Linspire is perhaps the best way of getting hard core windows users to try Linux. If you are a true Linux fan you would appreciate the efforts of companies such as Linspire to make Linux as user friendly as Windows.

Oh, i agree that my response was heated, with the caps and all...

But, u know that most of the distros u have given on previous DVDs are outdated - example ubuntu and freebsd. I agree that u cant keep on giving the same distros as and when newer version is released.. But, please, linspire is a bad choice. Even raj14 agrees, as will most linux users.

Not everyone is a linux expert, but there are distros which are much more linux-ish than linspire. The company isnt trying to get people to switch to linux - they are giving the windows UI an alternate kernel, with some artwork thrown in. When a linspire user faces a challenge, something like, say, getting internet to work on some other distro, he will fail majorly, thanks to linspire's hand-holding , and hence will stick to linspire, which as i keep on saying, is essentially windows. Introduction to linux ? BAH!

Anyway, i only request you to give better distros in May and June, as june is my last month of subsription, and after that i wont be renewing, as my 12th std is coming and studies are getting heavy. Cant always read digit, keeping it hidden in my pysics book, right?
