It would become 200% is the site doesn't go down for hours altogether w/o notice.

Here's a BUG, and a BIG one too.

Everytime I use quick reply, I get this message.
"The following errors occurred with your submission"

Although the message does get submitted, sometimes it doesn't, and i'll have to refresh to find out!

Then it's no way different from the old "Post Reply."

@merlin: Are you kidding me?!? I can't see any change! Where the hell did you get that image from? I get the same old red page when I open the site. And there have been no improvements. Please don't behave like our politicians and overhype the achievements.

ahh well, what I feel is that it is the forum bugs which actually need to be rectified. Attachments, AJAX, Albums etc. nothing works actually and it is seriously a pity.

How about fixing the forum for a change? And getting a better hosting provider? And actually listening to what the members say, for a change?

Wow a new Admin for forum only!!! Thats cool and welcome. If don't know or none in Digit team had informed u that we were waiting for u(a dedicated FORUM Admin) for ages.

The only time that I look at thinkdigit.com is during last two days of month to check content of new magazine.

On the other hand, I use thinkdigit.com/forum for every day and I do it a lot.

I don't care what you do to thinkdigit.com but please fix the bugs that are creating headache here.

That was mean! When have I not listened to the members?

Forum version upgraded 3.7.1 > 3.8.2 -- so hopefully that will solve a few of the problems. The rest to be solved within a week or two, I'm taking the downtimes very seriously.

Merlin = Ahmed Shaikh -- most of the older readers will remember him.

This post however, was NOT made by Ahmed... yes, I know who you are

Now that you've let the cat out of the bag, yes we have a new site coming soon, and I mean soon.

Please wait a little longer while we update the site and forum. Things will be a little iffy for a few hours today, but once it's done, you can start the feedback here again.

You know what, most people don't give a damn to Digit's website. They just care about the forum. Our bookmarks point to www.thinkdigit.com/forum and not www.thinkdigit.com. I mean to say that there are 100s of good "daily dose" tech news sites which I must say, are waaaay better that Digit's home page. Where Digit's online presence scores is in the forums. So please, prioritise.

how about taking our request seriously and downgrade 3.8.2 to 1.0.0!!!!

we don't want eye candy. We want a forum that is fast and that doesn't think every post as a double post.

I just wrote a big post and believing d improvement I didn't take a backup of it.
And now it doesn't exist.

And, yesterday I adviced disc_junkie to backup b4 posting

who requested these updates?? v just asked to fix the forum, not to upgrade. Those updates r meant for people who knows hw to handle a forum properly, not for TDF guys I think I hav seen 17yr old high-school kids who hav their own forums...hmm, TDF admins, this is pathetic...may be worst than dat.

btw thanx Admins for giving ur attention at least now. The words may seem hard, but its just dat....we don't want to see TDF die. So gud luck...

yes I agree, upgrade is secondary always, bugs fixes should be the priority specially the quick reply thing. Either fix that or introduce a Draft Post for every member that can save your post every 5 seconds automaticlly while typing coz thats what most of us do while typing (keep copying and pasing on note pad as a backup)....

PS :: Forgot to mention it takes ages for the edit mode to appear after you click on edit....
