Default 512 mb ram 2.2 GHz P4 but still very slow


my laptop is prone to toooo many bugs and viruses
problems
1) client sevice for netware disabling windows log in screen
2)something called printhood disabling stand by
3)ihave moved the viruses to virus chest but don't know what to do next(Iam using avast )
4)system take to much time to start
5)many a times message telling some .exe files has encountered a problem appears. even one day it gave message that computer has recovered from a serious problem
6)some programs -"invalid e drive"do not get install
what to do now my laptop is not working properly

WOW man seems ur in a serisous s*** ...it wil be good to post your hijack Log for detailed study(HijackThis thx swatcat for the Link)....meanwhile...switch to a better antivirus like Kaspersky (given in few months back Digit), Install a good Spyware remover like Spybot S&D or Adaware and scan your computer ..and if you can afford .....do a clean format ...and then install Kaspersky , Spybot S&D or Adaware SE to prevent any such events....

Does this also happen in SAFE Mode?
Also, download HijackThis and unzip it to dedicated folder (like C:\HijackThisFolder\hijackthis.exe).
Then run it and click the button Do a System scan and save log file. HijackThis will perform a scan and saves the log file as hijackthis.log in the same folder where it is installed and it also opens the file automatically.
Copy the entire contents of the file and post it this Section.

hey maan...i m not as techie as swatkat or saroman...but still on seeing the condition of ur laptop i'll suggest u to take the back up of all ur data n format the computer 1ce...after installin a new os put norton av and spybot s&d immediately..i think even if these guys solve ur problem it'll tend to come back....atlst reformating ur comp will give u mental satisfaction that u dont have the viruses trojans n spies for sure....

Download these tools:-
CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
AdAware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
SpyBot SnD
http://security.kolla.de/

Run HijackThis, and click the button Do only a system scan, Then put a check mark against the entries which are made red.
Then close ALL the open windows, programs (even this browser window!) except HijackThis, and click the button Fix in Hijackthis.

After this delete these files:-
IEHelp.dll
Toolband.dll
DELDIR0.EXE
EGDACCESS_1058.dll
zeta.exe

Then run CCleaner, and click Options, then click settings tab, and UNCHECK the option "Delelte temp files older than 48 hours", and click OK. Then click "Run Cleaner".

After this, run AdAware and SpyBot SnD, and perform a FULL system scan. Remove any bad entries it may show up.
Restart PC.
Finally, run HijackThis again, and post a Fresh log.

for ur first probleom just disable netware client from ur lan card properties !
that should do it

Use the Search feature of Windows. There choose to search ALL files and Folders including hidden ones.
