Intel core 2 duo or Amd better processor?

Well i am in line to buy a new cpu for myself as i have been training to become an animator so i wanted a highend computer which would be more efficient in running animation softwares.Its been very confusing for me as i have been coming across people with different views, some are advising me to buy amd and some intel core 2 duo which has made me very confused.so please help with the configuration as my budget is around 25000 only for the cpu.
