Simple Difference is the Architecture.Also Pentium D can process a total of 4 threads at a time with the help of HT technology whereas Core2Duo can process 8 threads at a time(4 threads by single core).

Simply take it. Any Core 2 Duo will beat Pentium D If you want to know Techie information, you can Google as there are hundreds of threads or you can read from Digit as there was a article regarding this in Digit last July or August or later...i dont remember

i hav been away from tech happenings for a year now.
Last i leave the tech world, Pentium D proccies were rulling & i wanna knw after that which processors were launched till date so that i can search for them & update ma knowledge.
