It can run upto 3.4GHz on stock Intel cooler and more from proper collong and others.And at this setting it even outperforms the Giant X6800(2.93GHz and 4MB cache) which costs about 50k. Since Clock is 200*9 ,the FSB(200) bus on mobos can be easily raised to about 500 MHz these days so at 375 MHz it will reach 3.4.And 800 MHz Ram is enough(operates at 750 MHz to match 1:1 ratio with FSB). This is not only cheaper than E6300 but it requires less quality ram and mobo to do overclocking.So entire system cost will come down significantly. Last edited by Edburg; 10-01-2007 at 08:08 PM. |
