Default AMD Sempron 2800+ OR Intel Celeron 1.6 Ghz Notebook??

Hi everybody, i'm thinking of getting a notebook and seem to be stuck between two processors...the manufacturer is Acer and the processors are the AMD Sempron M 2800+ and the Intel Celeron M 340/1.6 Ghz. I will be using it only for surfing the net, playing music, DVD's, documents, Ppt and the occasional game like IGI or so....so tell me which one. HELP!!

If Sempron is 64 bit go for it If both are 32 bit than go for Celeron (1.6 is enuf) and pump in as much RAM as u can (since u shall be playing games) with the money u save by taking a celeron

Hmm... There should not be MUCH difference btw celeron 1.6 and sempron 2800+ (in price). I've seen both in action and the sempron is WAY better than the celeron. So i suggest u go for sempron even if its 32 bits. AMD is the king in gaming. And DVD's generally run better on a 2gig+ CPU. So i would strongly suggest AMD Sempron 2800+.

P.S. : The quiet n cool feature of the AMD will give u at least an extra hour or two on battery life too!

Go for Sempron. Its a good low cost solution + good performance. Go for it rather then a Celeron.
