Urgent Suggest me a DataCard for my laptop

Hi guys...
I was long waiting to get a DataCard for my laptop since the current gprs i am using is really worst on speed..

Yesterday i saw a ad from reliance regarding free usb modem and 2 months unlimited net for rs 2820...

I also saw the best offer from bsnl... 250 rs unlimited on cdma.. But i have hit walls with bsnl since they dont allow roaming and presently they are giving only few connections per area, which i think i cant get in my college area..,
Can any one help me select a good dataCard.. I am from tamilnadu and will be using mostly in kanchipuram , 10 away...

How are other data cards...
Does anyone know reliance tollfree no to enquire about dataCard

instead get an airtel BB ..get a life

reliance is ok -----------> but not good for downloads and anything "waste" it does not do value for ur money -------> u can connect it with airtel mobile office if its mail checking

I am on gprs now... As i said.. I cant a bb , since i am in hostel...
So only way to get a better net is thru dataCard... Atleast slightly faster than gprs..,
3g won get released any sooner , even if they do, they wont release in my hostel area....
Actually my options are very limited...

What shall i do?
How is tata? Airtel?

^^which city are u in..in delhi tata and airtel have launched wireless BB..but i have read dis info in TD forums only

First recommendation : Airtel Mobile office, it would be turning out to be cheaper than data card(In Delhi , you get unlimited use plan for Rs.499 on Mobile Office, while data card plans are more expensive. Or you can buy any postpaid connection sim and use that in data card)

Dude dont take datacard.. Reliance is so so so damn bad. I got it. Half of the time got connected but was so **** slow.. and it consumed like 4-5 mb for opening Forum index and the limit is only 1 gig so don't take..

Is your area doesnt have EDGE? It will give you much faster speed.

hey Naveen...I am also from chennai/kanchipuram area.. i am using vodaphone gprs i get around 11 to 16 KBps/sec ...
which gprs connectn are u using..? I heard that airtel gprs s really good also...my phone is however EDGE enabled, maybe tat accounts for this good speed..
Could u please post a ScreenShot of ur Gprs Speed here..??

Dnt go for relaince yaar..even relaince offers the same speed as my vodaphone gprs..worst it gets disconnected during several times.. i have personally checked both mine and my next roommates relaince connectn at speakeasy.net & happy to let u know that my 152 kbps was more than his paltry 132 kbps.. So i am happy with my gprs connection..
