Angry Don't go for BSNL EVDO!!BSNL cheating is some areas.

Ok i took a BSNL wireless broadband connection UL 2Mbps EVDO.
My area has EVDO and i get EVDO signal all the time. But BSNL is cheating its customers by claiming it to be 2Mbps UL.In reality you will get much lower speeds and the reason is simple. The BSNL towers are overloaded and running at full capacity.
The speeds are ok only for a few days or for sometime.

AFAIK they say it is a shared connection! Though I am a MTNL user.

Yes this is a known issue,I was warned by giga, he told me that max speed will be 600Kbps thats all .. I ignored his warning and went ahead and bought the device..
My worst fear came true.. BSNL blocks the speed to 64KBps. I do get constant speed but some times on windows I get more than that. On Linux max speed is 64KBps.

For one week the modem just droped to 1X CDMA eventhough I had full EVDO signal.

I think these problems will be sorted out once 3G is implimented.

As of now, I can say that you wont get more than 512Kbps on BSNL Evdo. Connection is stable though.
