Bharti Airtel and Pacnet join forces to deliver enhanced connectivity to and from India

New Delhi , Wednesday, 18 th June 2008 – Bharti Airtel , India 's leading telecom services provider, today announced that it has entered into an NNI (network-to-network interface) agreement with Pacnet to interconnect their respective networks, expanding connections to and from India . Under the scope of the agreement, the two companies will directly interconnect their network infrastructure to expand their respective MPLS (multi protocol label switching)-based IP VPN (Internet Protocol virtual private network) capabilities and to provide advanced IP solutions to key business customers in the region. The agreement will enable both the companies to deliver greater coverage, seamless user experience and reliable technology to their customers.

I hate being power given to single player...
Look at the worst side...if they wanted to do, like raise price.., cap bandwidth,block sites, filter content....
They have the power... Instead i wish it should be of gov who takes these kinda powers and distribute the resource to players....
