Idea / Concept for New Website..

Hi All,

I am planning to start off with my own website but unable to figure out what should be the concept !!!

can you guys suggest ideas about new website concept and design and other things..

As i am new to all these, would seek an idea which does not cost anything.. or merely few bucks.. though, costly ideas are also very much welcome...

yeah, am thinking of that too.. but am not much into blogging.. so it will be very small website with very less content...

but am willing to implement a good idea as my favourite timepass in future which i can evolve in a good repute website ..

nah... am not worried about page design.. as i am planning to make all the pages with textual things only..

i want ideas or concept for making website ... like forums... or like mginger... or some other thing...

A Static website with HTML,some flash or javascript would do the job.
steps to get a website running.

1) Register a domain(a .com domain comes for 400/- bucks)
2) Design a site yourself by many free templates or get it designed by professionals
3) Find a website host & host it

am looking for concepts..

currently am with "just dial" and u can check our website..

am willing to do some more challenging work of my own... to learn and explore more things...

hence looking out for few innovative concepts which can attract more and more ppl..

Dude first figure out what you are specialised in or say well versed with... Coz in the long run this is only going to help you out. .without interest it will get boring...
What you like the most dude... Say music or games or mobile.. Figure it out and also know that try to find the interest in which others may also would be interested in..

am a computer engineer..

know languages from c to java & php.. mysql is what i love to play with..

have also developed games for mobile and its my passion to play games..

i have several ideas which requires investment and that i do not have with me for now..

so i wanna start something, which will be useful to users of my website and for that i need not have investment more than hosting from my site... a little more investment should not be a problem...

have thought of forum.. but there are hell loads of forum, so why would anyone come to be member of my website forum?? so i need something really interesting to attract crowd and build a community at website to share and enjoy together...

i am firm believer of free software and services .. and have specialty in sms through website... which i will begin once i have enough investment in hand....

should i elaborate more so that you guys can help me better??

ya making a forum is waste.. but if u are best in softwae... u can have a forum which would come handy for users to post thier feedback and report bugs...etc...

u can create a software like myphoneexplorer and add a paypal donate button... ..if it gets popular.. u may actually end up earning...

now that u might have got a picture of wht u can do.. develop that picture.... and dont just start hastily.. plan out... right from the domain name to partners if u want one... and also regarding the software.....

and that is why i am confused ... if we have to begin with something which should get famous in ppl soon... then it must be something unique and catchy..

however.. i got this idea ..

its kind of ... "look - alike" ..

User of website can come and upload their face front and back and side photos..
and they will be shown photo of other users whose face is matching their face..

in a way, finding ppl around the globe who are looking alike...

it can prove a better way to find a long lost duplicate brother in kumb ka mela

this concept requires loads and loads of research in images and comparing images..

can you all suggest me keywords based on which i can create several domain names and select one outta it?????

website is about technical discussion and freeware collection..

it will have many more sections added later on.. but all technical stuffs majorly.. no doubt.. a section will be for fun... which will have no tech limitations...
