I dont know much depth about it.It interest me coz i know only phbb,smf,IP bulletin and vBulletin.
I like the default outlook and seem interesting

Moreover, it runs on proprietary software such as SQL server, IIS and .NET
All these lead to increased overhead cost of running and in some cases, even modifying them.

Moreover, to make modification(if its allowed), there is a possibility that the coder too will charge more.

4chan is a very... open... forum. Pun intended. You dont have to register, and the content there is one of the best in internet. In all catagories, I mean The concept itself is quite good, its from another jap BBS, but this is a very successful adaptaion of a traditional bbs.
