Rt now in this PC, I have two internal HDD - Samsung n SeaGate and using WD Passport as external too.

In my laptop, it is Hitachi

Better supporting all

I prefer WD single platter 320 GB drive.I've had problems with seagate.Neways,quite surprised that noone voted for hitachi considering that its considered to be even better than WD by some.( Have got Hitachi 2.5" ext hd,no probs so far,blazing speed if u cmpr with pen drives)

I don't know about seagate current issues, but mine Seagate 40 GB IDE is working fine.
So seagate.Haven't experienced any problems since last 5 yrs.

All my 3 IDE HDDs (40 GB, 80GB, 160 GB) are Seagate make.

Seagate.

Had bad experience with WD. Got couple of examples whose WD crashed after 3 yrs or 3.5 years.
