Where to get Custom WordPress Theme done?

I'm looking forward to dress up my blog with a custom WP theme.

I'm looking for some Indian Designers as they charge less.


Any one here has any idea as:-
- where to get it done
- how much they charge and,
- recommend some designers.

Nope, but I need good quality design even if it's simple and clean.

Saw DP place. I hardly saw any designers around (leave alone Indians). Even if their were, it's a long process. I recruit designers but their portfolio not resume. Ok, kidding. Long process, PMs and emails and then getting to see their portfolio.

Many thanks for the list... my blog should have a theme which no other blog should use, so not interested in 'premium theme'.

I don't like Unique Blog Design or Adii Blog designed themes. Didn't like the portfolio of Ask Graphics.

Contacted blogohblog.com and Ask Graphics.

Let's see what happens.

If you can pay and looking for best..than why looking for Indian designer, why not best designer.

It's The Newspaper Blog it's like a newspaper. Variety of topic. It's still my personal blog.

I love the current theme but ten of thousands others also use that theme - so my blog loses on identity.

If I can afford, then I'm going to have a custom theme.

if you dont want to give much money..and want same type theme.....than why not use your some mind and edit the current theme.

the author of the current theme he is using is kinda clever. The author has made the CSS horizontal instead of vertical. It takes nuts to make it vertical. (aka its too lengthy and consumes time)

If one has time and patience, then can edit it according his/her wish.

I guess you misunderstood drgrudge please read his post again...

btw you can edit a theme only upto a certain level and most importantly the footer design credit is there from which people can know which theme is that.....

also theme design is not just 'use of some mind'

He love the current theme....but just want unique. This can be easily done by editing used images.

I am not saying to remove footer credit line..I am just saying to edit the current themes images to make it unique.

He wants and love the current theme..but want a unique one.

and sreejith does do quite some WP themes, he's doing some custom work and is busy with it, hence his profile pages are not updated, AFAIK... i do talk to him once in a while, and im pretty sure he is doing custom WP themes...

I'm moderately like his profile. Being a new Indian designer, he charges less.

Charges of other Designers:

gfxedit.com/ -- He himself posted in his forum that he charge $100-$125 (contacted him but didn't reply back)

1. Download a theme which is available for free and matches your interest in terms of layout.
2. Edit its graphic files and stylesheet. You can get the graphics done from a professional or DIY.

Rs 15k is costly for me. I don't earn that kind of money.

I'm pretty picky abt what I want. If I'm not getting a theme done in my budget with a fairly good quality, then I'll stick with my theme and maybe go for a premium theme or design one myself.

Don't feel bad abt my taste. I don't even like the work done by Unique Blog Design or Adii designs(that need WP help dude). Good luck with your design work.

The thing is that the learning curve is pretty steep. I need to know CSS and PHP. Plus Photoshop, Ilustrator and little of xHTML to design a custom theme myself.

^do u know HTMl atleast? Its almost similar to HTML styling.

PHP is not needed mostly unless you need to modify the core scripts.

its risky man... knowing php always saves you when you screw up big time

and theming is not alone knowing all the languages.. you have to spend some time on the theming of wordpress section in the codex and also go through a few tutorials to avoid any hassles in the future.

and btw even if you modify a free theme extensively the footer link will always show that you are using a common theme... so its better to go for custom development if you want an idividual identity
