Google Search now officially BLACK ?

When I opened google just few minutes ago, I noticed it is BLACK!. With this msg:

not yet at my side mate, even the Earth Hour page does a 404 with .com, works with .uk though.

well click on the Earth Hour link and read it. Its just for 1 Hour and only in US. http://www.google.com/intl/en/earthhour/

Google says that modern displays use the same amt. of energy to display all colors. This is not entirely true. Blacks do consume lower power than whites. In fact, I read in a book that if Google changed the background to black, it would save a lot of energy, but will never do so because it contradicts their image.

I'm happy they didn't. The black one looks plain ugly.
