Default What should I do ? ;)

My current PC config is

Pentium IV 3.2 Ghz HT
1 GB DDR 400 RAM
XFX nVIDIA 6200 256 MB Graphics Card
Inte 915 GAV Board

I am not able to play 1080p HDRips and play Crysis, COD4,etc
so I was planning to buy a rig as I also work a lot with
VMWare Workstation.

My initial idea was to buy a
Quad Core Intel Q6600 CPU
Compatible Asus Board
3 GB DDR 2 RAM.
Quality Cabinet with good coolants

which I thought would be good enough for 2 years keeping the
Intel 6 Core Processor in mind

Now I am in a dilemma

Should I wait for a couple of months and buy what I consider my dream rig or should I invest about 10K and immediately buy a Core 2 Duo Intel Proc along with a compatible board and RAM ?
