I think they have missed a wonderful opportunity to publicize their EEEPC. I don't understand what would they have lost if just 1 EEEPC was given as 1st prize. The effect of hearing about it in all mags and forums is definitely not as much as seeing it in your friends's hand!

And yeah, I am surprized that they are giving mousepads to runners-ups. After all, how useful is a mouse pad other than lying under the mouse(or use a tea mat )? Should have been something more useful.

Yes, moreover you gave them a slogan. Most companies conduct such contests for
1. publicity
2. getting thousands of free slogans without any effort, which they can use for advertising (even if you do not win what you send becomes their property, read the fine print)

Guess you'll have to star in a film to get an EEEPC, better contact Aamir Khan :-P
