since ur in 2nd yr now theres amore than a yr left b4 u face campus interviews.
in every campusing the procedure of selection is bout the same.
1st round is the apptitude test,2nd round could consist of GD (some companies do not conduct GD),3rd round consists of interview (some companies split this interview into 2 parts i>HR & ii>technical).
for apptitude u need to practice r.s aggarwal(though i never practiced).
for GD u need to be a good listener and also a good speaker.try to be the 1st to start the GD but only if u hav good & valid points.i've seen many guys mess up by trying to be the 1st to start the GD and in the process hav put forward invalid points.

the next round is either a HR or tech interview or both combined.
most guys mess up the tech interview by putting C/Java as their favourite subject even when they do not know much bout these languages.remember even if ur sitting 4 a software company u'r not required to put C/Java as ur fav subject.just give the name of the subject which u know very well and on which ur confident that u'll be able to answer most questions.
i never gave any programming language as my fav subjuct.i always put networking.
in the HR round most companies will ask u the same question:
1>tell me something bout urself.
2>tell me something bout ur parents.
3>tell me why u've chosen xyz as ur fav subject
4>why do u wanna join this company
5>why sud i employ u
etc...etc..
and if u pass all these rounds the ur selected.
