Valentines Day only for lovers??

when we say valentines day..first thing that comes to our mind is the lovers..

well i have a doubt...i have a friend who is a girl..but we are not lovers..its just friendship and i dont want her to be my lover...
i wants to give her a gift as a friend..but will she misunderstand me and my feelings to her..

There was no idea to buy any gift for this valentines day...but when my saw my friend was sad since she and her boy friend just broke up in the last month from a 3 year long relationship and she was in heart- broking state

..as a friend or best friend i wanted to cheer up..for this i thought may be i could buy her a gift and present to her that will make her feel much better...

So guys whats your suggestion..i should present her a gift or not .. Its urgent..plzzzzzzz
