Here's a script bundled with a configured mIRC client, allowing you to directly get on the digit channel (chatroom) on the Freenode IRC network, without any configuration involved. It's also got some one-click commands and tools from within a 'special' menu and some other from the same with right-click access. Hope this helps to increase traffic somehow. ^_^

Here's what you need to know:

• Run the installer and extract the files to any location.
• Run mirc.exe from the location. You can create a shortcut manually if you wish, since the installer doesn't.
• Wait a bit, then press the Continue button when it appears.
• Enter a nickname and an alternate one (usually the first with an _ affixed).

• Click Connect to server.
• You're all set! You'll automatically join #Digit, just wait for a bit.
• Next time you run mIRC, you'll automatically join #Digit.

Note: Even after the 30 days "trial period" is over, you'll be able to use mIRC. Wait around 3 seconds for the Continue button to appear.

mIRC yuck. irssi is way better. even xchat is better.
