Explain me scientology!

Off lately i have reading too much of scientology stuff in digg and in other news sites..
What is it anyway... A read in wiki but cant understand..
Can Somebody put it simple words...

Actually I was looking forward for the same discussion.If someone out here has sufficient knowledge it would be highly appreciated to spread some light on it.I know we can use google link's and all but it would be good to have a more human touch to it.So any scientologists out here?
