Default How and Where to complain about Cable Operator:IMPORTANT

How and Where to complain about Cable Operator:IMPORTANT

In our area cable operator many times stop any channel, and they not inform customers why they are stopping any channels.

Like they have stopped POGO, ESPN , B4u Movies and few more .

And whenever i complains they say it will be started shortly.
Reason for stopping channels are always different when ever u phone to them .
Like ESPN is stopped because STAR CRICKET is started to view match
Other channels where stopped because decoder is burnt and is sent to repair.

They dont listen , and i and many users are facing same problems and they dont listen to

anybody.

So where to complan so i can watch the channels that is stopped.

Do help and reply who knows.
POGO, ESPN , B4u Movies is being stopped from more then 1 month.

No we dont have Setup box in our area.

Though complaining is the first option we usually think off, I find it better to switch to 'his competitor'.

If you can get TataSky or DishTv, get it! You have a very good reason to get it

Complaining often doesn't improve the situation because these people are too deaf. Because every person involved is in 'their network', they won't take any action against each other. They will tell you 'Haan saab kaam chal rahai hai. Woh kya hua tha ki thoda problem chal raha hai'

And these cable operator are mostly uneducated(or least some diploma after 12th), they are just not worth what you pay for.

Go for the professionals like TataSky or DishTV. I am thinking of getting the same because I know complaining doesn't make any sense. It just increases your blood pressure.

MY CASE:
I purchased a set top box(or setup box, whatever its called) for Rs. 1350 because I was not getting all channels(especially Zee business as I trade shares). He said I would get digital picture quality. But I got scrambled content and most channels showing 'BAD SIGNAL OR NO SIGNAL. CONTACT CABLE OPERATOR'. What I feel is that 'I got a dibba' for rs 1350, nothing more than a 'dibba'

I am buying TataSky within few days.

Bottomline:
Its time to dump unprofessional, noobs and get service from qualified, skilled brand companies like TataSky / DishTV especially when they come at more or less the same cost.

Thanks rohan_shenoy for explaining fully.

Mine cable operator is Tisai.
Many many years back what they where doing was putting advertisments on main channels like Star plus , sony etc , i mean advertisements scrolling down taking 1/4 screen space , some customer complained and they have to remove ads from those channels. This was case 4-5 years ago.

But i want them to see to customers problems also.

Bindass new channel is just started
but in 15 secs i see picture frame is stopped for 1-2 secs while viewing the channel. i mean sound and picture comes to still in 15 secs approx. Just like how scrath dvd or cd jerks in between.
or 20 -30 secs . they dont see this as a major problem.

If i quit them they will not pay back the fees i pay them to lay cable in mine house . i pay them 1000 Rs .

Is there any way to contact ESPN , POGO , so that they can take action against them.

I am not sure if there is one that would work, but what I know is that there are several layers in their working and most of them are independent. Its very much like franchising, but because of several layers, it makes it difficult.

And if they don't pay you that Rs.1000, use some tactic such as tell them 'You are shifting your house' or you are finding it difficult to manage the expenses and pay their bills.

When you tell that you can't pay their bills, they would usually disconnect the connection and return you the money because they have a tendency to throw unaffording customers like a 'fly in their tea'(you would be like a dead-dog to them). So probably you can get your work done hassle free.

And yeah, kalyan is a big city now, so you don't ahve a question like "is there a better service provider?" Almost all big brands have flocked to Kalyan!

but whether u beleive or not i dont think there is any other cable operator other than Tisai cable .all cable operator takes connection from tisai and then gives to customers of different areas.

i mean if i complain to mine cable operator he says he got connection from tisai network , and if tisai dont give particular channel then they cant give that channel.

I have complain to mine cable operator
and ofcourse may times to Tisai.
mine cable operator says complain to tisai
and tisai says complain to your cable operator .

ofcourse tisai knows when they not show particular channel no one can show that channel.

Go to consumer forum, request your local newspaper to take up this issue.

leave the operators alone and get yourself a tata sky or a dishtv.

my operator did not take money for 6-7 months coz whenever he comes i/sis are not at home and when we call him to come he is busy. finally one fine day he cut off the connection. so we decided to bring home a tata sky with 6 months free subsription, and later when i have to pay i can do that online.

it seems if you get the tatasky from the tatasky callcenter directly you get one month extra free. i came to know after i got the box...
