^ Yep that was hottest at that time.. and SB Live card. That card was total waste considering I had Mercury 880 2.1 Speakers..
My next system had Intel 865GBF, another popular board around.. |

It was an HP CD Writer, wrote at a blazing speed of 2x, used to take somewhere around 40-45 min to write a 650MB CD. Me and my friend shared 6000 each to get the writer for 12000 at that time.. BTW a blank CD used to cost around 85-90 bucks "HP gold media"(which still we used to say ...."yaar blank CDs sassti ho gayee hai"... I still have few of those in perfect condition....... |

Mine I still use.... I think the config is rather known to all:
P4 2.66 GHz Intel 915G Mobo 256 MB DDR RAM 400 MHz(from a really costly brand) 80 Gig Samsung HDD Samsung Combo Drive 52x I am still proud that even with a crippled system like this that can't even accept an AGP/PCI-E Graphics Card, I am put it to some good use and trying to extract the maximum potential from it.

I don't remember much about the configuration of my first PC, it was a "branded" PC (Pertech Computers Ltd) but it had an Intel 486 processor on it. Dad bought it in 1995. It ran DOS and Windows 3.1. Didn't have any speakers, had a 14" black and white CRT screen, and I never knew which sound card (if it had any) and graphics card it had. Don't know how much RAM or what size the HDD was.
The gfx card was huge (it was like a separate motherboard on the motherboard) Hehe, I remember using old softwares like Wordstar on it. And my first game Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold; dad got it on a floppy for something like Rs.800 (damn I'm getting nostalgic).
