I got it when i secured 91% in Class 12 ISC Board Exam
Pentium 3
256 MB RAM
Gigabyte Mobo ( cant remember the model)
2.1 Intex Speakers
14" Samsung Monitor Samtron 55V (still i have this)
D-Link 56 kbps External Modem
The OS was Windows Me, probably a pirated one. I didnt knew anything back then but still wanted a PC
I was thrilled to find 300 songs pre-loaded on my 20 GB HDD which my Vendor assured me would be more than enough Today that is BS. There is nothing like "Is more than enough" anymore

Mine was in 1995
Intel 486 66 Mhz (on pressing the TURBO button it would shoot to 100 Mhz)
8MB RAM
5 1/4 floppy drive ( i still have some of those vintage floppies)
540 MB HDD (i still have this HDD)
Windows 3.1 and Dos
14" Black and white CRT
NO CD ROM, NO SOUND CARD, ONLY SYSTEM BEEPS

PURCHASE PRICE AND YEAR: 50,000 AND 1995
SELLING PRICE AND YEAR: 4,000 AND 2001

We had to fit an AC in our bedroom since in those days it was like you need an AC room to run a PC. hehe

PS: I have edited this post. It was Intel 486 and not the Celeron.

Even I have worked on 486 and 386 as well. In those days these were the latest gadgets installed at my dads office, in a terminal configuration......5 monocrome monitors were connected to the 486 machine. We used to do basic on it. A 100 line basic code used to take half an hour to compile......
