Need Advise to buy a new car

First of all a very happy New Year to all the members
hello guys i want to buy a new car in the first week of jan 2008 and my budget is 3.5 lakhs to 4.5 lakhs and car(it will be a Hatchback car) will be used for around 800 KM to 1000 Kms per month.So for which car i should go for.

Will it be for long country/hiway trips?

Will you be using it for lots of luggage?

Whats the average weight you expect to carry in it?

Do you prefer small or large vehicles?

Are you looking for milage or performance or a value between both?

1.i have a family of 5 people so five people.
2. the car will be used for city driving(in delhi).
3. no not lot of luggage.
4.can,t say right now.
5.actually i am confiused between swift and i10.
6.if possible both.
