Earnest request to MODS.. ADMINS

Recently i found that i had to click on quick reply button once and had to activate the quick reply box..

Guys many are now using gprs and clicking on quick reply button refreshes the page with quick reply box activated...
To post a reply we had to spend double the time and double the data...from mobile each kb cost money..
Please back to the prev always activated quick reply button...
It will be ok for broadband users or others ,but think of gprs,dial up users.

^^ Exactly. I can't understand why this option was enabled? Its irritating to click on the "Quick Reply" button to activate it. it totally ruins the purpose of "Quick Reply".

When the forum software was upgraded to vBulletin, this feature was enabled by default and was disabled after member complaints.

Agree with you. Not on GPRS, but I guess it will tak a bit more time and it matters in GPRS.

If they are doing this to prevent spammers then they should be totally ignorant..
Spammer dont post replies.they start new thread.how many times have we seen spammers posting replies.
If yöü want to prevent spam..(i ran i forum a year before,so have some experience...)

Then simply modify so that a minimum of two post is necessary to start a new thread.this way,most of the spammers,which are automatic bot's will fail...hence nearly spam free forum...

Anyway its upto admins and MODS to decide..
We here from mobile users are really having HORRIBLE TIME.

Someone here told that spammers have even replied inside threads..please show the proof..i have never seen a bot posting reply to threads...

Guys to control spam,why hurt dozen of faithful users..,

There are more way,especially for vbulletin forum to prevent spam...
I know vbulletin,its really a superb forum,.. I think admins have to mod or install plugin to prevent spammers to register in the first place itself..like much advanced CAPTCHA...

Anyway sooner the revert back to prev quick reply,the better..coz i have hardly replied 3 post since 2 hours...i am really getting irritated.
