I have a HP Pavilion dv2000 which i purchased last year and i m satisfied with it. You can either go for the new Core 2 Duo range of notebooks frm of HP or if u can eve go for DELL which offers the best configuration according to your choice. If not then u can go for Lenovo, Acer etc.

BTW whats ur budget?? Will it be for general use ?

I want LINUX on it and that's it. It will be of normal use.

I will use the desktop for experiments

One of my friends recently got Dell Vostro 1500 for 45K and was i impreseed by it!! It was behemoth in terms of features. You can go for a lower model in that series. Though No OS is provided with it so u can install Linux on ur own.

Guys, Could you please suggest me a laptop with a budget of Rs70k, few things which I need are:

1) Windows Vista

2) Large capacity HDD since I will be storing HD Movies and games.

3) HDMI in and HD Monitor ( if it can be in that budget range )

4) And most importantly a good integrated graphic card.

I think mid-range graphic card are now available in that budget range.

Thx for all your suggestions.
