Should there be contest and prize/award giving held here?

I have seen lots of foreign/desi forums conducting contest , and giving now and then awards to many users for thier participation in the forum and contest

Why cant we here at thinkdigit conduct contest from time to time makng this forum a good place for healthy "talent show off" place??

Cant we conduct contest like


"Most Active Member"
"Most Active Thread"
"Intersting Thread opener"
"Most helping member of the year"
"Best designer in this forum"
"Best Modder of PC"
"Most talented Person"
etc
etc


things like that ..
and give away special awards to them..
wont it be very good for users also.. to be a proud winners of these awards??
and i think the reputaion system should again be put into place and also other small modification in theforum to place award pictures near thier profile picture..

these will make this forum better...

wht is ur opinion guys ..??

the price need not be in cash or someting likethat..instead it can some thing like a badge to the profile denoting thier prize/award...

Well our opinion doesn't matter here, ask the site Admins. we don't have democracy
if they agree then you can have it.

i think once in a while they should be appreciated here throught out the forum for thier work ..

why dont we have democracy here ..

THe rep system was removed bcoz there was classification of the members..so i dn't think the admins swill be willing to put the awrd system

It's only the admins who can have a say in this not the mods.
As for my opinion, this will just create more chaos. As it is we already have so much infighting. It only makes sense if there can be any order maintained by some group of people.
Also, what kind of prize/award to be given? No one has put any light on that area. If some extra custom tag can be given to people in these categories that will be something good too. Like we had trusted members earlier.

And one thing more..you wont see any admin post in this thread.....reason is:
They dont want any change.

i dont think why it would create chaos.. we can select the winners thru votes...


or special awards by mods and admin,..

regarding the AWARD or PRIZE.. wouldnt be great if they would post these winner in the anniversary edition of digit every year..
that would be a real prize giving for the winners..

i think MODS / ADMIN should look at this forum and take some innovative step ..and also encourage users here...

it really sounds great, but when it comes to reality it is not that fruity, as mehul said it will only create trauma and chaos, so it would be better to drop such ideas, and well Admins are to decide on this and not us .

Yes its all admins decision at last.
If we would think that it will create havoc,i dont think we should even conduct peso awards! Lol
But atlast isnt it concerning the winners and members?
It should really be upto to the users to take it.i dont think anyone here is to fight...are we guys?
Even we are ready to encourage members to excel.
