airtel broadband 699..

hi guys..i use airtel broadband 699 plan..getting speeds around 12-16kbps during the day..and around 30kbps at nite..nything i can do to increase the speeds..cant get a bsnl conn as i live in a hostel n the paper work for it is killlin!!

where are you from..........
In home 699 plan.......your bandwidth limit is 128 Kbps....and ratio is 1:2
Means your speed will vary between 64 Kbps-128 Kbps.So, your download speed should be between 8-16 KBPS.If you are getting download speed of 12 KBPS in day..and 30 KBPS in night..than there is nothing wrong in service.Infact during night your speed is near 256 Kbps.

Yes, its possible
1. Switch to Firebox
2. Or try some DSL Accelerator like CfosSpeed http://www.cfos.de/speed/cfosspeed_e.htm
3. Or better switch to 512MB plan from Airtel

There is nothing wrong with your speed. In fact, you are getting more speed than what you should be normally getting at night!

Still u are lucky that U are getting night double speed at night.

Most of India they have stopped giving night double

So for 128 plan - max u can get is 16 KBps..

256 plan will give u - 32

Watch out for new 8 Mbps plans
