The microphone is mounted IN THE SPEAKER ENCLOSURE. On top of that, it's centimeters from the FANS in the system. I'm no engineering genius, but this is retarded. Why isn't it up by the camera? The background noise is significant and intolerable sometimes. This is a horrible design flaw in my opinion. The auto-muting that the mic does when no one is talking is annoying as well.

even a salesman with no technical knowledge knows where the mic shud go ....

I can't close the lid of my Macbook without it going to sleep. No option. Yes, there's a hack for this, but it states that the heat could damage the Macbook or my screen. Solid.
Wow... and I hear people telling me that Apple builds the best Laptops in the world....

come on, don't take the word of the guy who's lived with a mac for jut 30 days. I've been a switcher for over 6 months now. and I'm really much happier with my macbook pro than I was with any other windows machine ever! I use skype all the friggin time! and I don't have any problem talking to the person on the other side. and really, why would you want to close the lid of ur laptop when its working? u do realize that there's a danger of damaging ur hard drive if u move the laptop when its working right?

You will soon learn that the best way to deal with these stupid threads is to ignore them.

Who cares for these people's opinions! You have a MacBook (or Pro) and you are happy with it. That is all that matters.
