Tommorrow have campus interview

Guys i tomorrow have campus interview and CTS is coming to my college.
I am a bit nervous as this is my first interview i am facing.Any help would be nice.

Anyway face the interview with a cool mind. Since you do not have any work exp they will be asking you questions from what you have learnt so far, with a few trick questions thrown in. Also they will try to figure out whether your attitude is right to work in the organisation, so be sincere and polite while answering and prepare common questions such as "What are your future plans/Strength Weakness/Where do you see yourself 5 years from now/Why do you want to join CTS..." etc.etc.

all the best.... and keep ur brains open while the whole selection process is going on... there is nothing to be afraid of. choose ur words appropriately in interview... coz he might like something in u and choose u. Just be normal... without any tensions.

Partial good news guys - I cleared the first round today.It was verbal,analytical and logical reasoning.I knew only some of them but yet by God's grace i was selected for next round to be held tommorrow.

Now the most annoying thing is when after i have cleared first round and got llost in next round.I hope this does not happen.

Tommorrow technical interview and HR interview are to be held.

But if you bluff, know well what you are bluffing. Otherwise you may land in trouble.
And with whatever you say, say with a smiling and confident face.
In the technical round if the they wander away from the topic, try to stop them immediately by saying something like "It would be better if you asked questions from this this...".
Cognizant is a good company, It had come last month to our city and took many students

bluffing is very risky most of the time the other person can figure it out and it becomes trouble some coz then he will take ur case pretty much like an external during a viva ... and yeh if they try to go into something u dont know much as lucky said tell em u dont have much knowldge about it ...

Results were announced today after i finished my interview yesterday.

Will give a detailed descriptuon of things which happened in interview very soon.I am off celebrating my success

I'm from Panimalar Engg Coll in Chennai.

Here is the detailed description of the interview after clearing the first round.

It was a Tech+HR interview combined.Mine was slated at 10 AM at panel 29.
But the interview started only at 12 or 12.30.My turn came.

Went inside panel.There was only a single panel.The HR gave a friendly smile,shook my hand and asked my name.Then he took the test paper which we wrote in first round(Aps+verbal+Analytical and Logical reasoning).It contained our marks,academic marks,hobbies,expectations,etc).

The HR was very friendly and asked me how was i.replied fine with a smile.
Then he asked me to introduce myself.Told him and asked if he wud like any specific details.He asked about my studies and i told him that i study only during exams.Then he asked "then u roam around all ur time".I tried to deny it but he said "good thats how guys in ur age shud be".Great HR ah ??

I had mentioned that i love cars,bikes,gadgets,cell phones and latest technology stuffs.So he asked me what is diff b/w 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.Told him that.Then he asked about latest Apple's product.Told him about iPhone.

Then came tech Qs.I mentioned my favourite is comp networks.But to my surprise,he dint ask any Qs on the subject but rather focussed on DBMS.I hardly knew anything about databases but i managed to partially reply to some.Tehn some Qs on C and data structures(managed to answer them as they were simple).

Then i had mentioned that i play cricket.He then asked who is now the coach(i told before was Ravi Shastri but now i f\dont know).Then he asked who is vice captain-told him Dhoni.

Then he asked why must i hire u ?? i told him some strengths.Then he asked me if i had any Qs for him.I asked 2 good Qs.

Then it was all over.He once again shook my hand and i went off wondering how i did.

Today morning i got the sweetest news of all - that i got selected.In my coll 155 were selected.275 had cleared first round out of around 450 students.

I can remember only these...will update if i remember any other....just confidence and way of thinking was tested i think.

for infy and tcs 99% if u clear the apti ur in ... others dont know much ... other companies dont go on a hiring spreefor eg l&t had a really tough technical interview they would ask questions for about 30mins ... and 2 separate guys would take interviews if ur scholar u would have to get urself fcuked by both and in the end none of the scholars got the job it was a guy whose knowledge wasnt too bad but not like those full on book worms

thx edburg and mav.. And i always thot that only the rote studying toppers get good jobs.. Btw i wanted to know abt MS and GOOGLE.. Wich colls do they come to in mumbai?? Also mav has ur campus recruitment finished..

i wasnt elgible aggregate and kt (maths) MS and google go to vjti dont whether they come to dj .... its nothing like the toppers get the best job

in my college the toppers werent able to clear the aptis of infy, tcs and some other ... finally they cleared in some companies

even my in my couz college in pune (sybiosis) there was a girl who didnt clear any of the aptis she was the last 1 to get recruited and she landed up with the highest pay package at dailmer chrysler
