Default User Rights to record TV Movies compairing with Torrent

Hi,

Past week I had a chat with a frnd in Yahoo IM, there a point which took me in, i would like to discuss that here,

We subscribed to CAS or DTH and While we use TV Tuner card, we record the TV program, thats legal i think ?? that means suppose a movie T2 or T3 in on air at Star Movies, I have paid for that pay channel, and I record that in my HDD to view that later, now its legal i think (or is it ??)..

So suppose I miss that movie and forget to record it too, and I use Torrent to download the movie, how can that be seen as illegal download ??

as I have already paid fot the movie by paying to start movies, and which allowed me to record !!!

Point that came up, may be we were suppose to record the Ads too, or the logo, while there is no Logo at Torret, well about ads, i am not bound to watch those ads, as I may stop the record at the time of ads and start it again so in that way i could get an add free movie, and about Logo so once downloaded, if using software I put the logo in will that make the downloaded torrent Legal ?????

Please post your views...

Thank you,

How bout taking it with the MPAA/RIAA? I suppose you can't share it then with some1 who hasn't paid subscription. then you'll argue that if you invited a friend over, wudn't he be entitled to watch the same.(surely it is your right to entertain ur frnds ) if that applies, then you may as well share it with any1 in the whole world 4 that matter.
