Arrow Can I install my OEM version of Win 7 on another laptop legally?

I know there is no one stopping me from installing the copy of Win 7 that I obtained along with my new Dell Studio 1450 laptop on any number of computers as I want.

But what I am interested in knowing is does EULA consider that illegal? ( sorry I am being lazy i don't want to read the 6' long EULA )

Yes, it does.

You cannot install an OEM copy into any number of machines (or legally into any other machine!). It is legally tied with your Dell machine (as theoretically, the product is tied to your Dell machine; even though the OS may have been activated with a volume licensing / offline SLIC + Key).

thanks ...
but I remember seeing something like "you can install it on as many number of computers as long as you're the administrator" ... so I guess this does not apply to OEM version of softwares....
thanks again

No. Only ifyou have volume licence you can do that, and that too limited by the number by the VLKs.
