Default GD Case study: need help

I have a GD event coming up, which is a kind of Case study GD.
As i am an technical student, i have not much experience of Case study. I require your advice on how to go for it. there will be 12 students in a team and we will be given a case to discuss. Please advice what should be my approach to go for it.
What steps should i follow? What should be my thinking line (!!!)
Any tips you can think of to improve my reasoning ability as well?
Please advice.

where is the case study going to be held? In a case study they will give u a fabricated problem based on a real life situation and u have to find and discuss possible solutions for it, thus arriving at the best possible one. If you as a group and individual are able to arrive at a consensus for the best course of action then your case study is a success.

never use foul language in a debate under any circumstances.

always talk in a calm, steady and audible tone, think of what you want to say beforehand. dont search for words inbetween.

look up more debate or GD tips on the internet.
