Default Bought Linea..What Next???

Hi guys,

After years of long wait and struggle, bought a Linea Dynamic model yesterday.
Color, Flamenco Red. This version doesn't come with a music player.
In my Spark, I have the Pioneer HU and 4 JBL speakers.
Need advice for Linea from fellow digitians here.
Budget would be 15k which can be extended to a max of 20k.
Requirements,
1. HU should support USB
2. Bass should be good, not thinking of a SW or a Amp.
3. Mostly hear film songs
4. DVD should be playable

How much will a small LCD cost which can be fixed on the roof?

Flow your suggestions/advices.

I had noted your post on the subject but since a response involved a little bit of compilation it took a backseat.

For Speakers you could go in for JBL. You can get details of the JBL speakers I have installed here and they are good. Also look into the JBL India website here .

As for roof-mounted video displays and Head Units, you may have to do your own research.

Sony: http://www.sony.co.in/productcategor...-entertainment
JVC: http://www.impelelectronics.co.in/pr...v-centers.aspx
Pioneer: http://www.pioneer-india.in/index.aspx
Kenwood: http://india.kenwood.com/

My personal preference would be JVC, since their products turnout to be VFM (value for money) with good quality.

Personally, I would not prefer a roof-mounted display but would rather go in for small headrest mounted displays, if at all I want to.

I have not put my mind into these, for the simple reason that I am actually looking for a 7" 2 DIN display unit with Audio, Video, Reverse camera input, and GPS navigation. ( Most such units will play video only when the handbrakes are applied and hence the vehicle is stationary, though it can be defeated. Legally viewing videos when driving (by the driver) is not permitted)

The GPS navigation part is still a grey area to me. The head Unit should have the necessary hardware and more importantly the software built-in and by simply pushing in the mapmyindia or satnav (the two prominent navigation map suppliers) SD card, I should be able to get going. I am still digging into it.

Hope I have provided some info, though not exactly what you wanted. Enjoy your Linea. ( I had my eyes on it but just can't afford it)

As I have mentioned, I own a Pioneer and JBL in my Spark. But I have heard kenwood is good. And when I was in team-bhp heard a lot about illusions, hertz speakers. Very experienced thou..

As of now, I can eliminate the roof mounted LCD. Juz need to decide on the HU and speakers.

I can ignore sony as they are not pioneers in car audio (not my view, but the view of my dealer frm where I got fitted my Pioneer and JBL)

JVC is a good choice, but afraid whether I will get the original piece here in Delhi.

Thanks for the links, will go thru and revert back.

In the mean time, keep ur sugg/advices flowing.

Thnx all for replying.

Is it??? but I have been waiting for the last 2 years to purchase a car and now winter as started here in Delhi and no more wait. In fact, electronics and car keeps coming in changes and u have to decide one and go ahead with it. If you start for waiting for a hi-end model, the very next day u bought one, a newer best version will be sold in a damn cheap rate. So, I dont regret buyin this model. Be happy with what you have got/bought. I know u were juz kidding..am I right??

Well no. Seriously. But then, it would have been more than 8.5 lakhs though IMO.They are launching the tjet version for the linea and the punto burying facts that the cars are underpowered.

8.5 lacs??? totally out of our budget. Infact we budgeted 4-5 lacs initially. Then linea arrived and we decided to increase the budget for it.
No regrets!!!
