Please the following article to know more

^but what abt the limited plan users, (like me) they cant download. So shipping was the best alternative.

Buy a magazine with bundled distro. 100 bucks. People here are spending 7K for that software from Redmond .

Hey Varad, these days you get DVD Distros free with mags, not just CD distros. Also, you can always request distros on Indian forums, some FOSS fan or the other will send them to you, you only bear the shipping cost.

* you can upgrade to the new release without a CD
* you can download your own CD for free
* you will be able to download the CD wallet artwork
* becoming an Ubuntu member by contributing to Ubuntu, and thereby becoming eligible for more CDs
* And finally, you can purchase CDs
The purchase bit is like 1 pound per CD of ubuntu. If ordering 200CD's its for 135 pounds and shipping is free.

But the wait for the distro to get on the magazine is too long...
