Re: Happy birthday din and Happy Teacher's day!
Thank you guys

Only thing is, when you get old, your parents stop giving birthday gifts
So this time I gifted myself something that is useful (read : exercise or economy slowdown or whatever)

On a different note, both my parents are Rtd. Teachers. My sis and bro-in-law are also teachers.

myself is a teacher. but, i think teacher's day should be applicable to almost every one. Even a baby teaches us the things we never knew!

Happy Teachers Day to them too. Cool bike, features? I personally haven't interacted with you much, but reading other threads i found out that you are a respected uncle here.

What is your profession?
What are your plans with that bike? (Mountain biking, dirt biking, going to office, etc?)
I agree with both of you 100%.Neo TDF > TDF 6.5

Re: Happy birthday din and Happy Teacher's day!
Thank you friends. Just had a BIG piece of cake and 'Payasam' (that sweet thing like kheer)
I feel sleepy lol
Thank you. Regarding the bike - It is a Hybrid bike. Hercules Ryders ACT 110. Features - hmm, alloy wheels, alloy frame, Shimano 21 gears, quick release front wheel etc.
I am a senior (but immature most of the time lol) member here, and all these guys call me Uncle !!
I am into project management and business. Working from India for a few clients in Europe and USA. Nothing too big, but earning enough for a small family.
Plan with my bike- Actually I bought it as an advance birthday gift lol. I ride 15-20 KMs every day (morning), highest so far was 44 KMs. I am riding a bike after a gap of 15 yrs and I love it. Only thing is finding a good route for riding, I am scared of national highways in Kerala
LOL
On a a different note, going to sleep soon. Leaving early morning tomo (to Village), no, not in bike lol, but taking it with me. Long drive, like 12 hrs, Good night guys.

Re: Happy birthday din and Happy Teacher's day!
Sorry, had to travel (back in village now) and broadband was down. All ok now !
The bike cost - Rs.9360
If anyone think it is too low - I agree, Trek / Merida starts from 24K I think
But I thought of going for an Indian one plus I was not very sure whether I will lose interest on it later.
If anyone think it is too high - Have a look at this forum - http://www.bikeszone.com/forum/ (no, it is not ad/spam and it is not a competitive forum too)
And no commuting, only for exercise now.Last edited by din; 11-09-2009 at 06:09 PM.
