Why freshseasons seasons was banned?

was he spamming?
was he breaking forum rules?
was he posting offensive messages?
was he fighting with ninjas?

....the answer is no to all the questions above , then why this happned ?

i remembered why praka123 (with that avatar of the cat whith attitude ) was banned innocently , and now this .

the thinkdigit moderaters are chosen among the million and without giving warning ? without advertising ? without commenting ? are banning people straightforward ?

this happned to him , tomorrow this can be happen with me , 3morrow with you ?

so should we sleep or rise ?
lets all unite and unban freshseasons .


PS: (Porn) Tag is added to invite people to visit the thread , because these days nobody cares to see normal threads , simillar case with (girl) , (sex) , (H264) tags .

I joined Think Digit in 2004....and am one of the oldest members here.. Today suddenly when i logged in it was displayed Banned for offensive posting.
i searched all the posting through my original username " freshseasons" and couldnt come up with a single offensive post.No warning nothing i was just banned?
Why is this happing....Who ever banned me can you direct me to the reason as to why was i banned.Is there anyway of knowing why was i banned and who did this stupid thing ?

Whoa! from quite a few days I am seeing that mods or maybe admins are banning a user for nothing. I have seen freshseasons return after quite a few days but I never any offensive post by him. Nor did I see him spamming either.

Sorry Admins and mods.... even if freshseasons made some offensive post(though I am sure he didn't) he should be warned atleast once in public in the thread where it is done on the first hand before banning.

i think mods are frustrated as the forum is loosing it's charm. Mods, take a few days OFF. I think you are trying too hard. I mean you have to contribute in the mag and here. We can understand your problem. And the frustration is the cause for banning the users, miserableing them or deleting/locking threads for simple reasons.

I'm recommending to start a thread in chit chat section or separate section where you will give your explanation for banning a user.You know that You should not ban a user without the proper reason. And if you have the proper reason, tell it in that thread. Same goes to the deleted threads.

So, saving your server's space by avoiding this kind of threads...(hay! no offense meant to maxdemon)

For no fault of mine or justification of anything i was banned.I dont think i can take this.I feel ,Since May 2004 the day i joined this forum,i think i have wasted all my efforts.
I think its time to move on to another sensible forum where there is justice and level playing field.Atleast where people dont ban you right ,left and center.
This forum is like a roulette system.Anyone can be banned randomly.

I am not sure what happened, and I am not justifying admins if they did this without any reasons .. but

@freshseasons,

Did you contact the mods / admins by pm and asked what is the problem ? May be kalpik or some other mod will be able to give some info on this. I think that is the best way. And please do not expect an instant reply from the mods as they are not full time here and they do not get paid for their job (AFAIK). So my opinion is, please pm admin and some mods and please wait for their reply. And if you do not hear from them for a considerable amount of time, then it is a different matter.

Also, regarding Praka and Rohan (agin not blaming them), they both were short tempered, they were getting angry very easily. Might be others took advantage of it and both left the forum

Please do not think you wasted your time here. I know you are an old member and you contributed a lot here. People got benefited from your posts, so please do not leave the forum.

Just one not-so-offensive comment and...direct BAN???!!! No warning, no temporary ban.
I've seen derogatory comments previously a lot of times...it used to happen the MOD used to edit his post and remove the comment and leave him a warning message.

No, I'm not taking his side, its just that I'm comparing previous environment with now. And, the post for which he is banned, he even mentioned it as a joke (though a bad joke). I would still say, he got more than his offense.

Its not MODs, its the Admins who own/are directly related to Mag...
MODs are one of us with more authority(power)

Anorion, cyberjunkie and others are now members of a different group "Team Digit" and they do have moderating powers AFAIK. But I think, their names should be distinguished with a different colour.

See, previously Admins were like God...all knew they are there but none knew how to reach them. They only showed up only when they felt so...

Anorion broke that practice...began more frequent with forum, took active part in conversations...to me at least he felt one of us...(this feeling I'm calling a trust)

Cyberjunkie, Lucifer, Static, Deutero, Raaabo and me all work for the magazine, and are all admins/mods. We just don't show up in those colours anymore.
Freshseasons posted a personal attack against some of the admins, which is why they chose to ban him. We are always open to legitimate criticisms of the magazine, the forum, and other suggestions. We come down strongly on personal remarks against any person, irrespective of who that person is, which is why, for example, Vamsi's thread got taken down. We found that some of the posts in that thread were in bad taste.
We hang out a lot in the forums, and we are ok with discussions, and even participate in some threads with umm... questionable content . As long as no one in the forum is ashamed of showing any thread to their parents... it's cool. Feel free to speak your mind, but stay civil.
