I did literally get a chance to do the 2nd option the very next day, i.e. trip to Bhandardara. Google Map link: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...6&z=13&iwloc=A Its a not so-much explored hill station out side Mumbai. How to reach: Geta train to Igatpuri. Then take cab to Bhandardara. Dist. from Igatpuri 45KM but due to mountain road, it may take more than 1.5 hrs to reach. Best time: Now!!! (Means, monsoon) We started at 6.50A.M that day. reached Igatpuri at about 9A.M. It was raining heavily that day. Had some "Wada Pav" at a shop there and booked an Omni to bhandara. It costed us 600/- A few snaps of the road to Bhandardara. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We reached at 11.30 A.M that day. Took a hotel and went away ASAP. First stop this fall. ![]() I tried something there which I was struggling for a few days, well my teachers, u say how close am I... ![]() This was our lunch that day. If anyone of u go there, please don't forget to take food while going for sight seeing. There's no shop anywhere!!! ![]() Next spot, foggy mountain. Check out the dense fog!!! The road we came is lost there somewhere! ![]() 3rd spot was a temple, but it was raining so heavily that I didn't dare to bring out my cam. It already drank quite amount of rain water!!! 4th spot. B4 moving here, we asked our driver, if in the next fall we will be able to bath, he said sure sure, obviously. When we reached here, nobody dared to go near it. ![]() The team. Me not in here. ![]() And me...(Took 190 photos, mine...only 3 and only this one is presentable) ![]() When reached hotel we came to know there is no electricity for last 8 days and we should not expect today too. So we called our homes and switched off mobiles. Returned the next day after visiting the Wilson dam. (Photos didn't came good as that was taken in even more rain!!!) If anyone planning for a trip; Note1: Take a raincoat. Forget umbrella. Note2: Take food with u when in sight seeing. Note3: Be ready to soak till ur bones and don't expect to dry on the same day.
