iPhone prices slashed - in the US

Apple has slashed the prices of iPhone and it is as cheap as normal 2MP phone in india.

The new apple Iphone 4GB costs only $99 (Rs. 4950)

and iPhone 16GB 3G one is for only $199 (Rs 9950)

Why do we have to pay 30000 for iPhone here.

Why do we actually end up paying more for apple products in India ???

Those prices are without contract, also there is no 4gb iPhone the 99$ is the old version 8gb 3G iphone.

Kind of. The most basic Data + Voice plan comes to about $75/month.

SEE ? 75$ = Rs. 3750 per month.

Do you know that in US you get Nokia N86 too for 49$ ? Thats with a hefty contract. Anything which seems too good to be true probably isn't.

The 99$ iPhone is like buying an iPhone in India and opting for paying Rs. 5000 in one go and an extra Rs. 3000 as monthly installments for 2 years.

It works out to be a lot more cheaper here in India.

That's the reason I never ask anyone to get me a mobile if they offer to buy something from the US. Telephony in India is one of the cheapest in the world.

Anyway, I'm happy with Indian prices, thankyou.

I get plans here in India which cost the same 75$ or Rs. 3750 but for suiting my needs (browsing, calls, sms) for the WHOLE YEAR.
