WTF digit !

There are already several threads complaining the issues on the forum and I was in no mood to start a new one but this is ridiculous, there is a limit of tolerating mismanagement in a website you visit daily.

I had 90 unread posts this morning out of which 28 were spam! See the percentage of crap thrown at you daily and there is no sign of Admin doing anything about that. Not even a hint that they are up to something that will make this forum function better.

The situation is not as easy to solve as it sounds.
We mods are trying our best to delete spams, and you can only help by pressing the report button.

If the 180 sec wait appears too high, I suggest an interim measure of starting a thread in this section exclusively for reporting SPAM posts (not other reported posts).

You just need to link to the spammer's username. We can delete ALL his threads and posts and ban him - but it still takes 1 minute minimum to do that so understand our problem.

Anyway, as a permanent solution, Anorion is <can't disclose>. It is taking some time because of <can't disclose>. But it will be ready in a week or two definitely. This will cut spam.

Any more questions or shall I close the topic ?

TBH however, the mods and admins have kept us uninformed of what they are doing.

This leads to most of us bashing them, mainly because they dont come forward and inform us of what they are up to. Same is the case with tarey_g.

In future, at least I'd hope to see mods and admins informing us of what they are doing behind the scenes. It will lead to less shoe-throwing, and at least that feeling among members that the mod and admins really care about this forum...

The trouble with discussing stuff openly is that spammers can gain an upper hand by looking at what we do behind the scenes.

But rest assured, we are fixing things.

As I had said before, we are even getting a new server which is 10 times faster in bandwidth so that much lesser page loading time (current 10mbps vs future 100mbps line).
