I sold my 19" and got this .. I paid 3.4k for it !

I want one but already have a Samsung T220. At the time of buying my new monitor I had to choose between T220 and S2233 and I bought T220 becuse of it's better response time and contrast ratio. Also 1920x1080 was a bit too much for my graphics card with games like Farcry 2 and GTA IV

Congrats! Samsung 2233sw is a superb monitor. The only thing that it lacks is an HDMI input (for those who care). Otherwise it is perfect. It is sold for under 10k here in Mumbai at Croma.

Exactly the thing which is keeping me from buying this monitor. Had the resolution been 1680x1050, I would have replaced this with my CRT a long time ago. For that price, it's a steal.

I too am apprehensive about getting a monitor like this since the max I can buy for GPU is HD4770 and I may have to game with a 1 inch thick black bar border if you know what I mean
But I am still inclined towards getting myself a 1080p 21.5" Monitor. At 10K and 40W, samsung is a steal.

And the worst thing is that if you play at 1680x1050 the games look streched.
If you want a gaming LCD,then Samsung T220 is the way to go.

at 1680x1050res the games wont look stretched if u set the aspect ratio to 16:10 instead of the 16:9 HD resolution. I brought AOC 917Fwx XHD monitor with 1680x1050res. The games looks perfect and its light on my grfx card. 2233SW looks scary for my grfx card, even thou I like dat drooling HD display
