Has anyone in West Bengal ever ordered Dell Laptop online?

I customized a cool Dell Studio 15 on their site. The sales representative told me that the whole process of delivery in West Bengal is different. You need to submit the sales tax first at the sales tax office and take a WayBill from there. I guess then I have to send the waybill to them.

I have never been to a Sales Tax office and I have no idea to to get a Waybill. Its not possible for me to make it deliver in any other state also.

Have anyone from West Bengal ever ordered Laptop online ?

yup....purchased Dell XPS 1530 from kolkata...

you have to go Sales tax office located where you stay...to get a waybill no. and you have to get that stamped and signed by the Sales tax officer
if ur configuration is less than 60k... the waywill cost you Rs 2400.

that waybill is called for consignments of goods despatched from outside WB to any place inside WB...(in short it is VAT)

I talked with an authorized DELL dealer in West Bengal, but they sell only readymade laptops. So I have no other option but to go online.

I'll consult with my representative and go to sales tax office tomorrow.
