Let us know what kind of accomodation you are looking for. Sharing room with bachelors? Living in a hostel? etc?

Still would be difficult to answer your question unless you mention the l.o.c.a.t.i.o.n.

But a good place to start with would be http://www.indianroommates.in/

Either Andheri (W) or Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai should be comparatively cheaper than Andheri (W). I don't have any idea about that, but I can say something about Andheri (W):

Places like 4 / 7 Bungalow, Lokhandwala are costlier, but other than that, you should be able to find a decent shared acco in Andheri (W) / Oshiwara ranging from 4K to 6K monthly. Head straight to the website I mentioned earlier. There, you won't have to worry about paying agent fees. 2 months worth of rent would go towards deposit amount (refundable).

If you are willing to do a bit of commute, then places like Vile Parle or Andheri (E) - MIDC, J.B. Nagar, Marol, Marol-Maroshi are rental hotspots and comparatively cheaper than Andheri (W).

There is one more site, but I don't remember the name - it is something like zerobrokerage .com or .in. I am unable to open it from here. Give that one a try too.

dont worry about conveyance and traveling, since the local trains will help you reach from Station A to Station B in very efficient manner. Bus service is also one of the best in India
