atlast.......a dream come true
atlast my dream of getting a laptop got fulfilled.........yesterday 
yes........i purchased my first ever lappy.........an acer aspire 4930 from dubai for Dhs 3450. yesterday.. (Indian currrency Rs 46500..approx.
C2D 2.0 ghz proc
3GB ram
nVIDIA 9300 GS 256 Mb graphics 
320 gb HDD( out of this 12 Gb is taken by acer recovery system....it was a real pain in ass to make vista partion the HDD because of this recovery partion....)
14.1in HD screen..(
integrated webcam
DVD/DL drive....
overall it is dang fast right now.....
well anybody over here comment on the Gfx card performance pls......i dont have any latest games to test it......

screen resolution is more important for me than screen size.......also i look for portability..

For portability ? For people who need to work while moving around ? For people who need to reply urgent mails while on move ? I dont think you can lug around your desktop and then plug it in every socket you find and sit to work  .
