Default Linux certifications

Hi,

I am a 2011 grad and have recently joined an IT firm.

I wanted to know whether doing certain Linux certifications like the LPIC-1, LPIC-2 or the Novell Certified Linux Engineer (NCLE) would do any good as far as my career growth is concerned.

Also what kind of jobs and salary package can i expect on the basis of these or similar courses if i want to go ahead and change my job profile from the normal service industry software job that a fresher is normally introduced to when joining any of the IT firms.

Thanks in advance.

If you have interest in Linux certifications, you can do that to boost you career growth, provided that your work environment demands such skills.

Many companies need professionals having expertise on Linux. So, there is good scope for these certifications.

I don't know much about job and salary packages though.
